The Mulliner division will be celebrating Bentley's 100th anniversary next year with a Mulsanne special edition. It pays tribute to the company's founding father, W.O. Bentley and includes a piece of one of his automobiles.
The special model, which can be ordered on a regular or long-wheelbase Mulsanne or Mulsanne Speed is inspired by the 1930 8 Litre Bentley that W.O. used as his personal car. The influence of the car can be observed in the cabin. For instance the Mulliner illuminated bar cabinet features a display with a piece of the 8 Litre crankshaft displaying inside.
W.O. is emblazoned in an air vent in the shape of a B on the chrome appliqué that runs across the back of the vehicle. the car's signature front grille designed after the 1930s-appropriate Onyx color of the limited edition, and an optional chrome strip that runs along the lower spoilers left and right. The front grille is also unique, gaining a chrome shell instead of the normal body-color mesh like that of the standard Mulsanne and also featuring the Flying B logo as well.
A key box engraved with the Bentley wings can hold two keys, and comes with a black flock lining, while key pouches can be purchased to complement or contrast with the key box. The commemorative set also includes a custom 1:18 scale model of the 8 Litre and flying paperweight, plus an illustrated brochure that includes previously unpublished images of the original 1930s 8 Litre.
